Over the last two weeks we have been to startup and emerging tech events in Florida. Next week we are headed to Atlanta. On top of all of this we are in the process of talking to startup founders who have been nominated to present at the Social Matchbox coming up on April 29th. So far we’ve had 54 startup nominations (not counting the duplicates – one got ten nominations). It is always amazing how different the startup ideas and communities in all of these different places are. Down in Florida EVERYONE was talking about iPad. They were definitely on the bandwagon. Startups that we met with in Raleigh-Durham North Carolina were much more interested in web and social media analytics. Here in DC there is a little bit of everything these days – from startups looking to leverage people’s idealism and desire to make the world a better place to startups looking to serve up augmented and virtual reality experiences. If you know someone with an interesting new startup that is in the web or software product space let us know who they are. Nominations close at midnight tonight.
