Major event updates:
1. There will be a new presentation flight callled “Opportunities and Ideas for Startups” with speakers including the Sunlight Foundation’s Apps for America team, the Apps for Democracy team, and others. We’ve invited Ashoka, Innovators for the Public, an Arlington based local social entrepreneurship organization and we are expecting them to join us too.
2. The Social Matchbox color coded name badges that you love and that make human social networking, aka “Speed Dating for Geeks”, easier than ever will be provided at the reception following presentations. While traditional networking for jobs, funding, etc. is encouraged, we would also like to encourage discussions and discourse between potential co-founders and people who might share similar passions or ideas. We’ve provided the new segment to contribute some fresh new ideas that may help get you going in a new direction if that is what you are looking for too.
